The Yellowstone site is located at the Yellowstone Lake Maintenance Building at the Yellowstone National Park. It is operated by the National Park Service (NPS). It is part of the Interagency Monitoring of Protected Visual Environments (IMPROVE) network (Yell2), and part of the Clean Air Status and Trends Network (CASTNET) (YEL408).
